February's Monthly Club Pages

My goodness -- I am cetainly behind on getting things on here. I have a few months to catch up on.  I should start back with October, but I am going to put February's on here first, since everyone is already done with October! 

In February, we worked with the Stella papers.  This is my absolute favorite paper from the new Idea Book.  I made the two layouts from the Workshop on the Go, and then did the third layout from one of the idea books.  Here are the pages we made:

Masculine Birthday

I really struggle with masculine cards.  Here is a card I made for my boss for his birthday.  Nothing too fancy.

Thank You Card

I made this card for a customer of mine.  It was the first time that I have made a 3x3 card. I am totally in love with this size of a card.  So many possibilities!!

Sympathy Card

Over the next week or so, I will be posting a few projects/cards that I have made but hadn't had a chance to post yet.  The first is this pretty sympathy card.

I made this card using the Deamin' paper kit from Close to My Heart. This was a card for my dear friend, Amy's, family for the loss of her step-dad.  I based the card off of a Mojo Monday sketch. It was the first time that I had tried one of their sketches.  I think it turned out well - if I do say so myself!

Final Open House Photos

So here is my friend Juli.  She was the winner of my Open House door prize.  Needless to say, she was a very happy camper (or scrapper, I guess)!!  Her winnings included the Reflections How-To Book, a Perfect Day Level 2 Paper Pack, A Game stamp set, a Find Your Style stamp set and 2 packs of embellishments.

More Open House Photos

Here are some more pictures from my Open House a couple of weekends ago.

This first card was inspired by the one in the Idea Book on page 85. I loved the colors and the stamp set (Remarkable Wreath C1473) used in their card, but I didn't want to 'copy' it exactly, so I decided not to make a shaped card.   The second card I made I really wanted to use the flowers from Hooray Bouquet (D1491) stamp set.  I know I will have a lot of fun with this one. And it was super easy making the flowers by using the coordinating cuts on my Cricut with the Art Philosophy cartridge rather than cutting them out by hand!

Open House

I had my Open House celebrating our new Idea Book (I know -- I'm a little late!) last Saturday.  Over the next couple of days I will showcase some pictures of a few of the things that I made to showcase our beautiful new products. 

First up is this beautiful card box.  You can use it for cards, as a catchall on your dresser or desk, to hold special momentos/keepsakes, ect.  I may be holding a workshop to make one of these before Christmas, so keep your eyes out for that.  This box was inspired by the one found in the Idea Book.

The outside of the box was covered using our Sonoma paper packet.  I didn't think I really liked this paper packet until I actually had the papers in my hand.  It's beautiful! The flowers on top, as well as the label, were made using our Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  I really can't get enough of this cartridge!  It has brought my Cricut new life!  And don't you just love our new bling brads!

Pretty Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card that I made for a very special friend.  I was inspired by the card on Page 123 of the Idea Book.

Graduation Card

Here are the graduation cards I made this year. I usually try to do a different card for each person, but I was short on time this year, so I made the same card for all 5 grads we knew this year.

Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I made for my daughter a while ago. I used Chocolate cardstock for the base. I also used Sunset and Lagoon cardstock,I embossed it and wrapped it with some natural hemp. I used the It's Your Day stampset with Pear, Tulip and Lagoon inks.

I made this card using the October Stamp of the Month. I should have posted this last month, but I just can't seem to get in a regular habit of posting things to my blog. I need to try much harder. Maybe it will be one of my New Years' resolutions.... Anyway, all products used were Close to my Heart. On the tree, I used some Twinkle Brads to add a little bling. The hat and scarf were colored with our markers. The B&T paper was from some leftover Jingle paper I had in my drawer.

Hooligans Kit of the Month

Christmas Mini Album

I am planning to host a workshop in February to make this adorable Christmas Mini Album, using all CTMH products. I did not create this album myself. Leanna Ott created and shared this beautiful album. I have changed just a couple of things to add my own personal touch. This album will hold 12-27 photos. If you are interested in participating in this workshop, please let me know. I am planning on holding the workshop on Sunday, February 21. The basic cost will be $25. New Spring Catalog

Hello everyone,

I can't believe (well, actually I can!) that it has been over a month since I've updated my blog. I know I have said this before, but life has just really gotten in the way of my keeping up with my blog. My daughter played both school and traveling basketball and with the holidays and all, it was just way too hard to fit this in to our schedules. The holidays will be over after this weekend and school ball finished up right before Christmas, so I am hoping to have some time back again to devote to scrapbooking and my blog.

My CTMH business went well for the first 6 months. I am hoping it will continue into 2010. There is a new spring catalog that goes live tomorrow, January 1, 2010. I will update my blog in the morning with the link. There are some really great new paper kits available, as well as some new stamp sets. Also, CTMH has lowered the price of their A-size stamps to $7.95. This is a great bargain!

Here is another favorite card of mine from Regionals. This is actually my daughter's favorite card that I made. I really did have a great time there. I learned some really cool things and met some awesome consultants, including my upline, Lori Leng.

Cards

Back in October, I went to the Regional Celebration for Close to My Heart here in Minneapolis. We did a lot of artwork, which was a lot of fun for me! Over the next several days, I will post some of the cards/layouts we made, along with some of the cards I received in the swap I participated in. This is my favorite card from the ones we made while there. The color didn't show too well in this picture; it's much more vibrant in person.
