Coupon Holder

My LSS had a bunch of books and other creative things she had made in a basket. I saw a coupon holder that was very adorable and knew I had to make one! Mine is made similar to hers, but I changed it here and there. The biggest change I made was that I used the smaller envelopes instead of the letter size ones that she used. I figured the smaller one would fit in my purse better. I saw this paper in her store and knew that's what I wanted to use. It's from My Minds Eye. The inside pages are just Bazzill (I think) cardstock in coordinating colors.

I cut the sheets of cardstock for my inside pages just a little bit bigger than my envelopes. I taped them all together and then taped the envelopes on. I cut the bottom strip, then punched it with my MS border punch (forgot the actual name) and then scored it so the pages had room to expand with coupons in the envelopes. Then I attached velcro to use on the tab to keep it closed.
I used my mini monogram cart to cut the various sizes of the scalloped circle. I just cut the strip they are attached to by hand and stuck it under the brown border.

Here's the finished product. Now I just have to use it and see how well it holds up in my purse!

Look What I Got From Lorrie

Lorre is so nice! She always has something nice to say about everything and is willing to help anyone with a question. You can check out her blog HERE

I feel so honored that she thought of me! Here are the rules for this award: To pick up the Circle of Friends Blog Award cut and paste the award logo and use it on your own blog. Nominate 5 other bloggers you feel have become part of your circle of friends. Link to your nominees within your blog post. Include these instructions on how to pick up the award in your blog post. Link back to the person who gave you the award in your blog post, to show your appreciation. Comment on their blogs to let them know they've received the award. So, while it may be hard for me to only pick five I will give this award to.

Now the hard decision on who I should pass this on to:
1. Lori
2. Heather
3. Jenn (not a craft blog-but she gives me lots of inspiration anyway!)
4. Christina
5. Steph

I was going to try so hard to keep my blog up-to-date. This past week or so have been absolutely crazy! We got new computers at work, and along with that came the new Word 2007, which totally HATE!!! One of the features of Word that was a HUGE part of how we do things, is not the same in Word 07 so we have to figure out how to do things differently. So that has taken a lot of time just even trying to do simple things because it is so different. Then, I was out of town all weekend for my 25 year class reunion!! I can't believe it has been that long since I graduated high school. It sure doesn't seem like I am that old!! I also became a CTMH demonstrator in July, and I have been trying to figure things out and also figure out how much I want to/am able to put into that. Right now I am off to work, but I am going to try really hard to update with a project tonight. I made a cute coupon holder that I would like to share with everyone.
